• WiFi EasyMesh: WiFi Certified EasyMesh brings a standards-based approach to WiFi networks that utilize multiple satellites or access points by combining the benefits of easy-to-use self-adapting WiFi with greater flexibility in device choice when building your WiFi network. WiFi EasyMesh networks employ multiple satellites or access points that work together to form a unified network that provides smart, efficient WiFi throughout your home or business.
• Seamless WiFi: A single network name provides seamless room-to-room roaming throughout your home so you can stream without the signal dropping. The Nighthawk MK62 system creates a seamless network throughout your home by using the same WiFi network name (SSID) for the included router and satellite, plus any additional satellites. Your WiFi devices like your smartphones, tablets, and laptops will remain connected to the same network name without disconnect and reconnect as you move around your house and yard.

ISP Compatibility: The Nighthawk MK62 Mesh WiFi 6 System is compatible with all internet service providers (ISP) and recommended for homes with over 100Mbps Internet plans. Just connect to your modem to create high-speed WiFi for your whole home. Unlike some WiFi systems, the MK62 works with your existing gateway or modem and Internet service provider right out of the box. You won’t need to change your current equipment to use the Nighthawk MK62 Mesh WiFi 6 System. The MK62 uses a single WiFi name (SSID) and with just a couple of clicks, your secure WiFi network will be ready in no time.

• If your gateway or modem has router functionality, when you set up the MK62 network, choose AP mode and turn off your existing gateway or modem’s WiFi to improve performance.
• If your gateway or modem does not have router functionality, when you set up the MK62 Mesh WiFi 6 network, select router mode and turn off your existing gateway or modem’s WiFi to improve performance.

Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) enables efficient data scheduling so that more transmissions can be sent at the same time, resulting in an impressive capacity increase in your network. Nighthawk AX8 supports uplink and downlink OFDMA to efficiently use air-time with better frequency reuse, reduced latency, and increased network efficiency. Beamforming: Beamforming boosts speed, reliability, and range of WiFi connections on 2.4 and 5GHz bands. Unlike typical WiFi routers that just blast the WiFi signals in all directions; with Beamforming the router & device communicate with each other, so the router can directly beam the WiFi signal to the device. Gigabit Ethernet Ports: In addition to WiFi connectivity, the NETGEAR Nighthawk MK2 system offers hardwired Ethernet connectivity. The system’s WiFi Router (MR60) features two Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN / 1 LAN). The WAN port is used to connect your Internet modem, while the LAN port is used to connect a local network device. The system’s WiFi Satellite is outfitted with one Gigabit Ethernet LAN port (no WAN port) to connect a hardwired network component in another room. The Gigabit Ethernet ports support wired connections up to 10x faster than standard Ethernet and allows you to easily connect shared storage devices, printers, and other supported peripherals to your network.

Nighthawk App: The Nighthawk App makes it easy and intuitive to setup and use the NETGEAR Nighthawk MK62 system. With the Nighthawk app, you can install your router using very few steps – just connect your mobile device to the default network, and the app will walk you through the rest. The app automatically updates the router to the latest firmware, allows you to personalize your WiFi network, and even help register your router with NETGEAR. At the end of installation, an easy to use overview screen provides quick way to see what your network credentials are so you don’t have to write it down on a piece of paper. The overview screen also shows you all connected devices and links you to helpful support information related to your router.
