Shure tuned the PGA48 microphone to optimize the sound of your speaking voice, perfect when you’re giving a lecture, delivering a sales presentation, or recording a voice over. The PG48A also works well for singers or for karaoke, and its built-in “pop” filter reduces heavy breath sounds that can mar a performance. The PG48 can handle extreme volume levels without distortion, while its cardioid design rejects sounds from the side and rear to lessen susceptibility to feedback. The handy on/off switch adds versatility.

Overview: The Shure PGA 48 is a professional quality microphone from the PG ALTA series that is designed for vocal performance, particularly spoken word and karaoke performance. It features an on/off switch for on-stage control. The PGA 48 comes with a zippered storage pouch. No cables are included.

Pickup Pattern: The PGA 48 has a cardioid polar pattern, which reduces feedback and rejects unwanted background noise. The tailored microphone cartridge is designed specifically for clear speech reproduction.

Construction: The microphone has an industrial design with a black metallic finish and grille for an unobtrusive visual presence. The black reinforced mesh grille protects the cartridge from damage, and can be replaced if needed.

Microphone Clip: The PGA 48 comes with a swiveling microphone clip for mounting the microphone on a stand.

Connector: The Shure PGA 48 has a 3-pin male XLR connector. No microphone cable is included in this package.
